The Eurovan on its (almost) maiden voyage - camping on the Fall River, OR

This page is dedicated to our 1997 Volkswagon Eurovan Camper.   We had talked about buying an old Vanagon Westfalia camper almost since we met and finally decided that the time had come.  After doing much research we settled on he 97 or higher model Eurovan campers for several reasons. 

• The VR6 appealed to me, pumping out 145 hp instead of 95-105 with older models.  
• We could find a vehicle with lower miles and in better shape.  
• I figured I wouldn't spend all my time under the hood (or trunk) trying to keep the thing running. 

So, in the spring of 2001 we started our search and found a good used vehicle through JDB Imports in Denver, CO which we promptly purchased.   The van came in pretty much mint condition with only 62K miles on it and had quite a few nice features that were added by the previous owner.
