Seattle paleo burgers

I realize I’ve posted about Paleo eats in Portland and the Quad Cities but have never mentioned Seattle yet.  Well, in the last few weeks I’ve actually eaten out a few times at burger places that are Paleo friendly and thought it was due a post.

Blue Moon Burgers

IMG_8511First was Blue Moon Burgers in Fremont which Kristen and I went to on the day of the Geocaching Block Party.   Blue Moon has an extensive Gluten-free menu and even a Paleo Burger on the menu which consists of a 1/3 lb. beef patty, two strips of bacon, an egg and red onion all wrapped in lettuce.  I left the sauce off.  They also have sweet potato fries of various forms, regular and curry which are also GF.   Blue Moon also locally sources it’s beef and gives back to the community.   Blue Moon has location in Fremont, South Lake Union and Capitol Hill.

Tipsy Cow Burger

IMG_8598On Thursday I took Cadence to lunch since it was her last few days before school starts and we decided to try Tipsy Cow Burger in Redmond.   This place claims the “Best. Burgers.  Ever.” and they do use grass-fed, local beef in their burgers plus have sweet potato fries.   They don’t have a Paleo burger per se on the menu but I just did the build-a-burger with no bun, bacon, egg and avocado wrapped with lettuce and an order of fries.  The fry order was HUGE and really good as was the burger.   A bit more expensive but this was a pretty good burger.

Another one I want to try out is Feed Co. in Redmond that just opened where Bill the Butcher used to be.  They use local, organic beef instead of grass-fed but are much cheaper than Tipsy Cow.   Again, no Paleo burger on the menu but one could order a burger with no bun, bacon, egg and the trimmings for $7.50.  They also have sweet potato fries and salads.

I’m sure I’ll discover a few more Paleo-friendly burger places as I get out more and I’ll keep you posted.
